Description

Meet the Galaxy's Ultraweapon: The Girl! Not "the girl" - oh, no. After their victory in the Sex War, women thought they had the place pretty well sewn up, but they reckoned without the awesome might of the 'Toon. Think about it. A 'toon Girl can take anything your regular starsoldier can throw at her: nukes, disintegrator rays, the entire contents of an asteroid belt - the usual stuff. And she is always still standing afterwards and you haven't even wiped the smile off her face... 'Toonworks can turn out these supersoldiers by the billion. They are simply unstoppable. The future is 'Toon! The Girl was posed in Poser 5 (originally Poser6, but Vue can't cope with files from P6), one Girl facing right and the other Girl facing left. The rest is from Vue Infinite, so named for the number of times it crashes.

really a cool idea and how did you repeat them so many times? So, maybe I will wait a while before buying P6

You have just made me realise I made a mistake. I DID pose The Girl in Poser6, but, in order for Vue to use the figure, I had to load her into Poser5, because Vue doesn't recognise Poser6. I posed the figure in Poser5 twice, once facing right and then facing left, then imported the figures into Vue 5 Infinite. In V5I, I "populated" two "ecosystems" with the figures. The "ecosystem" is a concept specific to V5I. You add objects to the ecosystem and say how many you want, at what density etc.. You can define an ecosystem so that it contains only one item and so that every one of them, as here, faces the same way. Getting the spacing right is down to trial and error. I should say that my dig at Vue in my comments was heartfelt, because Vue crashed an incredible number of times, before I was able to complete this picture. I shall certainly be reporting a serious bug to E-on, when I have done a few more tests. The problems I had with Poser6 were mostly resolved when a new hardware driver came out for my graphics card. I do now think Poser6 is a major improvement on Poser5. If you want to import from Poser to either Vue or Carrara, however, you will still need to keep Poser5/Poser4/PoserPP, because Vue and Carrara don't have a clue about Poser6. I hope this explanation makes sense. If not, please send me an IM and I shall try to make it more intelligible.
