Thank you everyone for your comments on my post yesterday, Balanced On The Edge Of Forever. Such an outpouring of positive reactions, I'm floored. :)
Well, I doubt I can top that anytime soon, but here is another Florida waterbird hunting along the intercoastal waterway. These regal animals are a joy to watch both in flight and when they hunt. This one provided me with a perfect profile shot so I had to oblige and take the picture.

That's funny.I have a pick of one of these from Morikami but I didn't know what it was so I just called it 'ugly bird' LOL! I guess mine wasn't such a fine specimen!
