My name is Paul, I live in Adelaide (Australia), and I'm just about to hit the big four-o. I spend way too much time using 3d applications like Poser and ZBrush2. Being a (no-postwork) realism nut, I have developed a number of realism tools for Poser, and the skin shader scripts for Poser are avaialble here at Renderosity.BIOA couple of useful links...

Uwe - I used 2 light domes - 1 slightly inside the other. The inner one is invible to ray tracing, so doesn't appear in the image. The outer one has a lightprobe image pasted on it - so is perfect for giving eye, teeth and sunglasses reflections.

That's great, Paul. I'm particularly fond of the hat... good modeling there. The reflections are very nice. I would have loved to see a raytraced chrome shader used for the frame of the glasses, but the glass is perfect. Another technique to getting reflections on objects in a scene with no actual background is to set up some primitive objects outside the view of the camera, and increase their ambient values. For instance, if you want nice reflections on silver/chrome, a plane square prop with white ambient turned up high, placed off to the side of the scene will show up really nice in the raytraced reflections. Top work as always, Paul!

Paul- Thanks for the info, one new thing i have to try... Without your tipps and shaders my renders would not be worth posting. ~Uwe

Imo she needs one more source to light up the black under her nose and chin. Too quick a falloff. RayT shadow lower or scale to blend that proximity problem. The ao is really great. Eyes are doing cool things back there. Lotsa reflects. All in all, a nice balance of spec, reflect and shadowwork.
