Original 3DS Falcon model from http://scifi3d.theforce.net/ by Iven Connery & textures by Sebastian Hirsch (Mojo) ~ Cloud City model by Jose Gonzlez from Star Wars Modelling Alliance mirror http://xpi.org.uk/~swma/archives/archives.htm ~ Cloud Cars models by Sebastian Van Halm from http://scifi3d.theforce.net/ More work went into converting the models and textures to work within Cinema 4D, than building the composition. Scene composited and rendered in C4D v. 9.1 XL. some postwork done in Photoshop. I really loved The Empire Strikes Back and this is one of my favorite scenes. Since the new Star Wars movie is due out this week - ENJOY! :)

My husband linked me this image. My first response was a rather crude bit of blasphemy which I won't repeat here, but this is simply beautiful and amazing. I always though it would be great to live in Cloud City when I was a little girl. :) Wonderful, wonderful work!

Neat...a little too much blur on the Falcon or perhaps a little too localized. I did one just like this years ago but mine was more of a daylight scene. Great render.

Top work. My favourite star wars film and your scene is very well realised. Very odd as I am just about to upload a cloud city scene I am working on lol

I think everyone loves the cloud city scene. Although the real color of cloud city may not be the orange/rust look, I dunno I'll have to pop in the DVD again and take a closer look. Thanks for the comments.

Wow! Outstanding image. Beautiful colors and resolution. Good composition as well.
