I hope I did not miss that image, I have to go back and check your gallery to be sure. It certainly is a serious topic you are dealing with and this image with it's all too appropriate title certain carry on in that tradition. The layers upon layers imply for me wounds partially healed, but never truly gone.

removing the many layers of protection one builds up for self-preservation is a long & revealing process, a relief to have them gone.. kind of like carrying around extra baggage... excellent series, great detail & dimension in this :]

Another fine shot in this series. Strange how the commonplace can become abstract when taken out of context.

The paint is just a facade. A cover-up to hide what is underneath...... eventually it begins to crack, crumble, blister, and all the stains and damage show. A metaphor for our lives? tips invisible hat

Paint when used cosmetically... conceals those imperfections some of us try to hide! In its liquid form, it is akin to blood, it can drip, run and splatter. It also forms a skin when dry and can be peeled away to expose what lies beneath the surface!

Strong emotions, strong feeling, it hurts because it is so true... The only way i see to make it better is to expose the nude wall to a big lifting and make it new... Have a great day and thank you for sharing!

Excellent photograph for describe what you've wrote. The wounds never disappear completely. But like the successive layers of painting, with time, they attenuate. It's just necessary to pay attention which they do not reopen... maybe it's the more difficult long time after the wounds. Hugs. Nathalie
