Description

I took this picture of myself with a pillow and played around today with several of my programs- painter and Photoshop ..Just trying to learn... oh so much to learn...ended up going back to psp 9 to frame it! ..Hard to learn something else when you're used to a favorite program that you are comfortable with.. speaking of the whole comfort zone... I am a little oh or slightly nervous about putting this up... shows a soft sensual side of me that I don't share usually so openly with everyone.. ... usually have my guard up -you know the whole protection thing - invisible barrier shield... yeah so here turn it on so life and people wont hurt.. Only problem is then you can't always feel as passionate and deeply... once in a while I take off the shield and let go... but it makes me venerable and then I go back to the safe place... Where I am tough... hope I don't sound weird ... just a few personal deep thoughts today...thanks for all your comments and care... PSSST ..ok I REDID IT with more detail thanks for your advice... yeah photography forums a good thing i am just a bit stubborn at times...lol everyone wants me to keep changing another thing .. haha cant make everyone happy ok I will put my origanil thumb up and then the new picture from advice in the gallery picture. OK NOW I AM SO done messing around with my dumb ol facE!! UGH HAHA Love ya all hugs~! Kimarie &Hearts; !!

You are beautiful Kimarie . I like the frame . I like the pic . No , you don't soud weird . lol . If I can give you my opinion . When you "blur" a face ... Try not the touch the mouth , the hair , the eyes and the eyebrows . That give a better effect . And your skin look perfect . A part from that . This is great .

I think this one should be in the 2D gallery! Doesn't look like a photography to me! I would love to see the original too btw! ;) And man , U are drop dead gorgeous!!

One is still cautioius and I can understand why. Doing ones own self portrait is un-nerving as I have done it several times and still find the one I like the best was done over twenty-five years ago and I had my face hidding except for one eye showing through the jacket openning. Yet I wish to express that see more of the original photograph would be nice since you are beautiful and should not find the need to hide behind altered pieces of yourself. Give it a try and you might find it liberating.

Stunning work, when I first saw the thumbnail I thought it was a photo from Gone with the wind, reminds me of an old portrait from that movie.

Wonderful self-portrait -- who better than YOU to do your portrait as I doubt that anyone would know you as well. Well composed, with just the right lighting. Excellent artwork!

beautiful kimmers, be strong, be proud... but as far as the image... would really like to see more of the detail of the original photo... ecspecially in the eyes :] still nice framing, expression & compo................ .......................... ................... ....................... ..................... ................. ................ back to comment again... don't you dare change it to 2D! it still resembles a photo!! as long as you follow the photo gallery banner writeup... postwork IS allowed :]............. ................ .................. .................... ................. ...................... .................. ...............LOL.., back again, too bad one can only comment once... much better!! you're a stunner alright :]

Great point of view and composition! So beautiful! And those eyes! :D You look like a very sweet person. There are a few burned areas that are too bright like the pillow. The transition between the highlights and the darker areas should be much smoother. Especialy the forehead. It would be nice if the smugging was not so visible. 50% lighter effect should be good. The hair is beautiful and i would careful with loosing too much details like around the forehead. This picture has so much potential that i wouldn't hesitate one second and redo the postwork from zero! Don't take me wrong, i still love your portrait! :)

The best and most effective artists are those who have the courage to be vulnerable. You are not only brave ... but very beautiful. But then that shines in all your art, as well as your words. All of your 'artistic' sides are well worth seeing. Wonderful work. V. :o) CC
