Description

I took this picture of myself with a pillow and played around today with several of my programs- painter and Photoshop ..Just trying to learn... oh so much to learn...ended up going back to psp 9 to frame it! ..Hard to learn something else when you're used to a favorite program that you are comfortable with.. speaking of the whole comfort zone... I am a little oh or slightly nervous about putting this up... shows a soft sensual side of me that I don't share usually so openly with everyone.. ... usually have my guard up -you know the whole protection thing - invisible barrier shield... yeah so here turn it on so life and people wont hurt.. Only problem is then you can't always feel as passionate and deeply... once in a while I take off the shield and let go... but it makes me venerable and then I go back to the safe place... Where I am tough... hope I don't sound weird ... just a few personal deep thoughts today...thanks for all your comments and care... PSSST ..ok I REDID IT with more detail thanks for your advice... yeah photography forums a good thing i am just a bit stubborn at times...lol everyone wants me to keep changing another thing .. haha cant make everyone happy ok I will put my origanil thumb up and then the new picture from advice in the gallery picture. OK NOW I AM SO done messing around with my dumb ol facE!! UGH HAHA Love ya all hugs~! Kimarie &Hearts; !!

Kimmers, it's a WONDERFUL portrait!!!! your beautiful eyes draw me right in!!!! It's good to show your sides! soft and sensual sometimes. other times playful and silly. and sometimes strong and determined. anyway you show yourself, you radiate a beautiful glow! You are beautiful inside and out!!!!

Can relate to everything that you said but sometimes it pays to be brave. You are beautiful and have done yourself so proud with your self portrait. Shelia is right, there is something about your eyes ...

Remember when you were new here and really shy? I do. Look at the following you have now. Know what - it's well deserved. I think it's because your art all comes from within - in a sense that's true of everyone's art, but with some artists (like you) it's different. Frankly, I don't think you want to hide at all. I think you want to be vulnerable, but to find that vulnerability repaid with kindness. I think this because it's like you're putting yourself on the screen every time -no matter what the subject matter is. I felt that way the first time I saw the first image of your daughter. The image could be anything (even a porch you loved), but it's a slice of YOU that's coming through. It's no surprise to me to see all these wonderful comments. And they are especially appropriate here. Without ever having seen your face, we'd all know you're beautiful. It comes through in everything you do. Looks fade, beauty endures - you've got both, but it's the the enduring beauty within that touches us!! Great job here - as always - and feel good kiddo! You rock!

I think you did wonderfully composing this picture of yourself.Self-portraiture is sooooo difficult,in so many ways. You've created a mood with this shot, it is revealing about the subject(you) as all good portraiture should be.Lovely expression. That must be some pillow!(LOL)I wonder if it would also look good with just the eye color done (since I love selective coloring).Great work Kim!

Dear Kimarie, you are really beautiful!! We knew your heart was before, but now we know all of you is, too! Really great photograph - and I'm sure it was hard to do. Self portraits are always difficult. I do a lot of self "photographs" because I act out my poses, but I'd never show anyone them - they are pretty aweful as I tried to bend around, etc. Really beautiful and really excellent work!! Love, Meredith
