Description

T.King Original Art "Red Planet Foundry" (Movie Still Images) I've been chipping away at my animations again, and the "Red Planet Foundry" 14 still images seen here show a few camera passes. The trench pass alone contains over 13 million polygonal faces. So to save render time for the preview still images, I had to exclude some special effects, including drone and transport ships. I'll show the completed scenes as soon as I have enough time to render them in their entirety. Once finished, it will be cut to DVD in stunning widescreen detail. *Also in development is a fantasy themed animated movie entitled "Flight of Et'inar". Movie clips will be added to a new animations section of my website, when I have enough time for the post-production video editing (...music, sound effects etc.)

Simply astounding! I had no idea you were creating animations! The level of detail must be astounding knowing your artistry! Fantastic job on this amazing and compelling piece...I can't wait to see the final version!

nice, but are you using the plate metal bump maps that come with max? If not, no worries :) I like the atmosphere. Break up some of the building textures tho, and add more self illuminated light across the environment. like poor weather lights, indicators, and signals I wanna watch this in action.

Thanks all for the comments and feedback. My website is TKINGART.COM. Please note that I haven't posted animations to my site yet, because it is DVD quality, and are rather large. I still need to post-process as well. These stills are right out of the renderer, I just grabbed frames as it progressed along the timeline. I had to leave out special effects (as I mentioned in the description above), such as rising smoke stacks, hundreds of blinking lights (including the ones on the fighter). Also left out were self-illuminated areas under buildings, spotlights, particle effects, drone and transport ships. This is a military foundry area (the cities are in domes, afterall it is Mars...) The textures are not final! and the ship shown is a dart fighter, the camera doesn't follow this ship to space, but rather a heavy transport. This is the first pass at the animation sequences, there are a lot of components to the movie, that lead all the way out to space where there are huge battleships with hundreds of fighters and ships in orbit. I will update this as soon as I can. Note: this is just a very small glimpse into a rather large project.

This is wonderfully put together! I was going to mention something about the standard max texture being on each of the buildings, but looks like it's not final. Excellent scene!
