Description

T.King Original Art "Recon Ship" (front-view) from my "Red Planet Foundry" Movie (currently in the works). *Notes: Rendered to show the ships bow. The forward deck seats 3 (1 pilot seat and 2 behind). The inside hull is hollow pending final room layout. (it is a fully functional ship in terms of animation - intended for exterior as well as interior animation, including moving parts.) This image has no post production processing (it has not been edited other than to place it in a wallpaper friendly format). All special effects and details are created within the rendering environment. *** You can view this ship animated here: http://tkingart.com/tking_animation.htm#RedPlanet

Looking pretty darn good. The Glass area is particularly cool. One thing purhapes: There isnt any lights. Now, I know spaceships often have the lights really overdone, but there should at least by some, imo. Maybe some on computer screens inside... Something to ofset the greyness. I find bluring the lumience channel using effects or Video Posts Glow works well. Anyway, just a surgestion :) Keep up the good work.

Outstanding modeling! I really love your work as everything is always so detailed and well done! The volumetric lights really add a great touch to this scene! Excellent work on this and I can't wait to see the movie!

Thank you! I do appreciate feedback/suggestions, but everything in this design reflects my style exactly as I intended. -- There are lights in the cockpit on 3 large display panels in the forward observation deck. The lit panels cannot be seen from this particular angle (see the side-view render in my gallery). -- As for lights there are fixtures on the bow and aft, but they are not illuminated; there is a landing deck below and docking bay in front of the ship that is well lit (observe scene lighting). -- I'm not particularly fond of colors and attention grabbing lights on recon or military ships, though I have considered dark burgundy markings. If you take a close look at the texture, there are grey and grey-red tone panels. I combined 6 already detailed metal panels and overlaid them in 50+ different segments. I didn't spend much time with this model, I made it before bed since I was chipping away at 14 different ships of various sizes. I work a LOT, so I have very little time to get the movie produced. :(

Eheee, I don't use max, but I sure appreciate a good job...I think that was a good choice for presenting the work in B&W, because the colours might be distractive from the details of the subject itself...from my point of view - excellent! waiting for the movie! :D have a great weekend - what's left from it! ~mihai~

The model and textures are great! Perhaps some people in the cockpit, but other than that it's amazing!
