Description

Just another day in a seedy spaceport on the rim of the galaxy. Please, feel free to look and comment. And be honest. The only way an artist (if I can be called that) can improve is by getting critcal comments, good, bad and indifferent and I appreciate them all. Yerz, Yogdog

Fair comment on the expression. Was trying for the casual "I offed him, who wants to try me?" attitude, but it did come off a bit bland. The blood was really easy....a few quick dabbles with a brush followed by a small dab of white for highlights and a quick and nasty drop shadow in photoshop.

Overall, stands well above a great number of pictures that get "Excellent" ratings. Normally, I'd say this was put together with more consciousness than most and leave it at a job well done. Since you asked, I will nitpick: The title implies she's speaking to anyone else in the room and her gaze seems a little high for eye contact with normal human height. It seems like a round bottle but the label says its more oblong as the type doesn't curve around. Atmosphere tends to flatten detail in the gun and it tends to dissappear. Seems like it could stand out a tad more. Great work on diving into the details of doing the graffitti, the wanted posters, her nick on the shoulder pad, the underwear strap, the expression on the guys face. The set, the little festival lights, atmosphere, it all makes for a complete composition. I'd say move on, what happens next?

This is so well done it's stunning. Critcal comments? Ok. Here's my eval. The victums hand seems a little on the artificial side. I think it could be the lack of arm hair but the nuckle on the index finger looks artifical. The guy behind the counter also seems two dimensional. He looks like he's either part of the background or like a card board cut out. There ya go. Great image. One of the best! :)

heh..I looked at this for 5 minutes trying to offer some crit...but alas noting comes to mind..it tells a story & is very well executed..perhaps the foreground hand could be worked on?..nah,that's just being picky,lol.. well done!..I like that guys 'wtf' look on his face

"I like that guys 'wtf' look on his face " LOL LOL LOl stonemason!!! yogdog, I did mean to comment on the lights, graffitti and posters... those elements really make this image POP! I don't necessarily agree w/deci6el about the gun...I've been in smokey bars and things are hazy and can be difficult to see things...I like how the gun isn't totally clear but you still get the message by the smoke coming out of it. OK, so maaayyybe mylemonblue's a little on the money about the 'cardboard-ishnish' guy behind the counter. He does look a tad 2d...but I didn't notice till it was pointed out. It's still an awesome render and your postwork rocks and well...who's renders don't have MULTIPLE flaws in them? I'd STILL give it an A++++++++ You're truely talented!

You know what I'd like to see is a series turned into sequential art (comics) with this style. You could do it. This is a nice scene.

Excellent piece, the expression on the guy behind the counter is priceless, if just a tad 2D. Good job.

Very nice work, I personaly do not like the tone of the image, screams for more postwork, to be honest, but as the render goes, it is excellent and beyond !!! :D

One of the best picture made in Bryce I saw for days. Composition is interesting, as the mood is really a tavern mood. Excellent, you have my vote.

great POV and great detail in foreground. the background looks flat (also the man's face and the bottles) the light is too uniform, maybe add some highlight and some dark areas. But the piece is really oustanding and funny! The blood is just perfect, like kemal said I'd change the tone of the image.
