Description

For years, a secretive force, XCOM, has been at war, fighting horrors from beyond the sky. Unbenkown to most on our backwater planet, its lifeforms, including we Humans, have been seen as material, tools, food by creatures from the vast reaches beyond our own world. XCOM was originaly set up as an offshoot of a scientific-military intelligence unit of NATO, in response to the growing knowledge that aliens were visting our world, and not in peace. Here, we see a combat unfold: an alien ship has landed at a remote farm in Southern canada, with the intent of collecting biological specimens. XCOM is forced to be somewhat covert, and cirumspect. Here, danger from a parked fuel tanker and concern for possible civilian survivors, as well as a desire to capture intact alien technology, precludes the use of heavy weaponry, except in emergency. The helicopter cannot land behind the farm since that area is covered by the UFO's beam weapons. Two soldiers rush in to approach, covered by a minigunner and grenade launcher. Not visible on this drone recon photo are 3 more XCOM soldiers approaching on the other side of the river (far right), and a sniper positioned on the hill (bottom left of image). Based on the XCOM games :) More piccies to come in this series in next days I hope. Marauder Armour, Blackhawk Helicopter, Mike3, Barn, and Windmill (I think?) from DAZ Minigun and backpack from Mock (Renderosity) Assault rifle from Modern Weaponry collection by Blaufeld (Renderosity) House and 2 cars from 3dWorld Magazine freebies. Oil Tanker came with Vue. Rendered in Vue Infinite

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES, SILVER!!!! And you've done a great job bringing it to 3D. Now let's see a close up on that UFO. Hmm... looks like a large one from here. Heck with the Grays, get the tech first.
