Description

Bryce Canyon is a photographers dream. I have seen many images and have photographed there twice. The last time my mission was to capture the hoodoos as part of the landscape as opposed to them being the landscape. Lighting is the most difficult part of shooting there as the sandstone contains alot of magnesium and tends to reflect more light than the sky or trees. To me this was my best shot after 2 days and about 50 exposures.

...very nice Bryce shot ! -- I remember being knocked out with sensory overload the first time I visited this park -- it's like a visit to another planet or fairytale land -- but I don't think it is easy to photograph in a way that stands out -- but I like this one.
