Description

A little higher flowers appear that are more typical for the heights here (about 1500 m, 5000 ft) like this bird's-eye primrose (Primula farinosa - the scientific name refers to the mealy underside of the spoon-shaped leaves with farina meaning flour). I noticed the little bud later when the slides were developed, showing the very begin of this flower. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 70 mm & little crop) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

I like this zooming to the field to select one plant. I was just thinking about the "Aspen" CD-ROM made in the 80's by Audio-Visual at Lowry AFB (now closed) that allowed one to navigate around the town by a spanning of photogrpahs that could zoom in to some level of detail. Now with BluRay maybe we could do this for the entire mountain to this level of approach.
