Description
Far above them through many layers of stone and death, the death mage sat upon her throne. Two trusted lieutenants were virtually motionless at her side. The ghosts wail had triggered a wave a motion that spread throughout the tower. The movement of air caused by so many things awakening that had long laid so very still.
"Someone has breached the lower levels, master" said one of the vampires.
"It sounds as if they have awakened the miscreant sleeper" said the other.
Tymarra's blood red eyes slowly began to give off a deeper red glow as power gathered within them. As her mind filled with the images that could be seen through the eyes of her long dead minions, thoughts of revelation began to form in her mind.
"How long has it been since mortals dared to enter our tower willingly?" said Tymarra calmly glancing at each of her creations.
"I do not remember truly. It has been many decades I should think." said one while the other gave only a nod of agreement.
"It troubles me that the living no longer fear to venture near our demense. I had thought the fear and terror we had wrought at the end of the last era would have held sway over them for much longer than it had. Perhaps we have been idle for too long." She paused as her thoughts drifted to far distant events and new plans of action began to take hold. Then turning to her waiting servants, "Go and find Ara'Eth and the other failed ones. Tell them they have a chance to yet earn a place here with us. I want these mortals followed. They have stolen something from me and I want to know why? Return when you have done so as I have other tasks for you as well. I believe it maybe time to rekindle the mortal worlds appreciation for my solitude."
