Description
Another experiment with traditional Infrared black and white SLR photography. Again, everything was done in the darkroom except for the scanning of the image and adjusting of levels. IR is not the most forgiving film type to work with (always bracket) but you can achieve some dreamy, surreal images.
Unlike my previous recent submissions, this printwas not toned. I really like the pure grays for this image. The green grass came out especially light in this one which was gratifying, and yes, that is me sticking my head out from behind the tree. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I suppose I wanted to make the scene a little more unusaul. 8^]

good to see that someone continues the "old" techniques - I've still not found anybody who knows how to apply traditional b/w filters (like yellow, red, dark red, blue etc...) physically or digitally in digital photography - would be great to hear of someone...

the atmo is indeed quite different with IR, that's for sure! and keeping the soul of a child inside is a way for dreaming continuosly...

A great image! I still have some IR film in the freezer for one of those days, found that I can achieve close to the same results with digital and a filter so don't know when I might actually get around to using the film. Excellent all the way! mark
