Description

Hi everyone!Wow,a lot of uploads this past weekend!Sorry I haven't gotten to all of yours yet,but I'm getting there! This is just a pic I took of my patio furniture.I played with it in curves and levels, duotone, etc.I like the way it came out.I wanted it to have an antique/tea-stained look.I hope you like it.It's a little different from what I've been doing lately... Please feel free to offer any suggestions that could improve it.I think the balance may be a liitle off,but this still looked way better than the entire image. Have a great day and thanks for looking!

I love it! I love the waterpainty look you gave it and the tones are just perfect...speaking of tones...PERFECT FRAME TO GO WITH IT!!!! The crop is also great, perhaps it wouldnt have hurt if you had some more space above that right chair/sofa and showing just a tad of the legs of the left one. The flowers look amazing!!! All in all....a magnificent and original compo! Well done indeed!!! Have a wonderful wednesday #:O)

sigh...it's PERFECT, Marlene!!!!! Already know i HAVE to add this one to my favs!!!! this one makes me want to weep how peaceful and joyous it is!!! The warm, golden tones & the striking light against the dark shadows is what i so much love about this. i can almost feel the warmth of the sun on my face, in my hair...on my skin. i can imagine sitting here, drinking coffee, enjoying conversation with a good friend or loved one, and just sitting back to soak in the beauty around us that God has given us!!! of course my cam is nearby and ready in case some birdie comes within view!!!! :) It's perfectly balanced if you ask me, and the crop is perfect! i read Andreas' comment and his idea about crop; i respectfully disagree. i might change my mind if i saw it his way, but i love this shot and wouldn't change a thing. i normally don't like tight crops either, but this one i do. the postwork you've done here is incredible...reminds me of a painter I've studied, but for the life of me, i can't remember who. :( i'll add to favs so i can enjoy this over and over!

Oh Yeah! It is a masterpiece! I have to agree with Andreas, I think the crop you did for the thumb was perfect, but maybe adding a little more to what's already there would have made the comp on it even better! Lovely postwork!

I expect to see ladies in wide brimmed hats and white gloves arrive to sit with their summer tea. Great mood of a past era. Well done.

To crop or not to crop? By looking at the thumbnail again I would have to say 'DO NOT CROP!' Reasoning is very simple. The image would have nothing to say, nothing to suggest the viewer. We would see only a chair and some flowers but they are not interacting so an image with nothing to say. Now let us take into account the other chair and the little table stand. We are now entering into an exchange between the two chairs and a dialogue is being established and the viewers begins to think as to what this exchange could lead to. The left chair by itself does not invite us in, if that were all we would see. Yet with the introduction of the other chair, we are made to feel welcome. By the way, I did receive the image, just have not gotten around to it.

has a romantic feel to it... as if dappled by sunlight... luv the pale green tone... balance does not seem off at all... maybe for a tad bit smoother a slight crop of the right hand side to eliminate the table but then i do like the curve at the top of the chair so nevermind.. as is, it's perfect :] you underestimate yourself
