Description

25 May 2056 "Ladies and gentlemans, let me introduce you to the GREEEEAAAAAT RACE!!! The event of the century is due to start in a few hours. I remind you that inscription are still open, and that member of any race and nationality may sign up - do it now!!! But enough! Let me introduce Mr. Jarvin Jindo, chief PR of the EchnoCorp Industries which, as you already know for sure, is the biggest genetic research corporation in Lakhma City, and will be sponsoring the race as well as providing the mounts for the participant, directly from their laboratories. Here, mr. Jindo." "Thanks. I'm very proud to be here this day... mmm... unfortunately, the promised mutant horses, the BT-45 prototypes, will not be... ready... in time for the race, since we had a small... *cough* ... accident when our research staff tried to use tiger genes to potentiate their speed and muscularity... Fortunately, we recovered enough bio-material and the scientists are already being cloned at this time. Fear not, however, as the race will be held as promised since the EchnoCorp industries will be most pleased to furnish our BS-13 prototypes which are... ho-hum... perfectly stable and safe substitutes. So, we wish you an interesting and... uh... long... show!" 30 October 2068 "Hello to all of our fan! I wish to remember that today, after twelve years from the start of the contest, only two participants are still running for the title while the others succumbed to hunger or the fury of the elements - except for the mage Zilnai, which died of old age around the 89th Avenue in 2065, of course! But back to our current drivers: in first position we have the sorceress Nelhinia, which has survived mainly by creating her food with magic. Our most devoted followers will remember how she had a bad time, however, when she depleted her magical energy to keep her hairs dry during the great storm of 2059. To that end, we have today in studio the fan who threw her a bucket of water just after the storm (and her magic) finished - so, do you have good memories of that event?" "CROAK!" "Oh, fine... well! Just a few foots behind her, we can see approaching the troll Grumbug. To that end, we remember to the people out in the streets that it is highly discouraged to cross the barricades to touch the participants - while this kind of behaviour allowed Grumbug to survive by eating their arms, the EchnoCorp Industries will not be held responsible for such accidents. Speaking of Grumbug, i think everybody remember when he was passing beneath the embassy of New Thala when a terrorist strike had it crumble on Grumbug. We really thought to have lost him, and instead his mount just crawled out from below the debris. Some witness swore at the time to hear him comment "Uh! Hailing again - me thinking it was summer!" And now that the couple is approaching the finishing line, only a few foot divide the two from their goal - we'll see you next week to keep you updated!" Sorry, must've left the insanity switch on last time - it should be set off now... :) So, back to the land of present (and sanity) now. This one is just something that i had to get off my mind after a comment from Debh, so i wish to dedicate it to her - i'm sure she'll understand :) and, i know it's not much - you have my word i'll come up with something nicer in the future - *wink* - in the meanwhile, deepest thank for your incouragement. My thanks to the following artists for their contribution: John Austin - MoHair Valandar - Savage winter Traveler - Battle Slug & Saddle Helgard de Barros - Colonist complex Goblin Design - V3 Cloak kozaburo - long hairs en - Behemot bunch o'props Bice - Tyra Moebius87, Billy-home & Ajax - Dystopia Danie & Marforno - Capsule odeathoflife - V3 Free Clothing Pack Lastly, my thanks are for everyone stopping by, and double thanks to anyone which can spare a few moments to leave a comment/criticism. Now, i think i should be going, there are those two men waiting and... hey, wait... stop it! No! Not the funny jacket again! NO! I like t-shiiiirts!!!
