Description
this is one of those little tiny ants you find all over the place, found a little nest hole by the pool and took some shots of the little workers hussling around clearing the remains of a spider and dead ants, I guess a little battle took place there at the entrance to there home earlier that day.

just for size relation - those brown dried plants are small blades of grass, about 2- 3 inches in size :)

nice macro shot of these industrious little beesties.. you never really appreciate how amazing bugs are till you macro their a**es :). however i think its a bit too bright....... try your camera on the TV setting and go for a faster shutter speed (the camera will work out the correct aperture value ) or use the M (Manual) setting and turn the dial on the camera to up the shutter speed until till the little line on the exposure bar is in the middle then press the little av button next to the lcd and drop it a stop or 2 to close the iris a bit.... will give you better contrast.....

Good job! These little buggers are quick and hard to photograph.

I like the really crisp and bright lighting here. It has this intense, over saturated sort of feeling... like being under interogation lights... uber-close scrutiny even. :o)

Awesome, he looks so huge here!
