Hello all. I've been on Rendo since April 2004. Since then, I've come a long way and I'm still learning. I've done artwork for YourMoveGames, Inc for their Battleground: Fantasy Warfare card game, EPIC tcg and Duel Of Ages II. I'm married with two great kids, Nick and Sam.
I've met a lot of great people here on this site and they have all been kind and generous. I'm looking forward to growing and spending a lot more time here. I thank you all for visiting and welcome any and all visitors.

You did a great job with the ripples and the lighting S The first one was good, and this one is just that much better S About Poser acting a PITA, par for the course I'd say LOL I can count on both hands how many times I've had to reinstall it because of one thing or another and its never pretty LOL (My advice if you can, burn your whole library on CD so that way you can replace it en mass when you reinstall it - it takes a while but worth it S) - Outstanding werk S

Wonderfully done! I love the mood of the scene and the blue lighting is super. Terrific water effects. I loved the first version and this one is even better!!

I saw the first post you did, and didnt leave a comment as I have no idea how to do much in Bryce. (I thought the first one looked great) But I can say that the water looks much much better in this one and the lighting is really cool! (in this and the last one). Very excellent pose and mood too!
Angel4Vash
Very cool atmosphere in this one. Only one critique: The shape of the ripples. He appears to be moving forward (or at least one of his hands in the water is). You should follow the flow with the water. After that, this would kick all kinds of...... I like this one a lot. It's one of those where you just don't know what the creature is going to do next. I love that. You rock.

Great job but, still think the ripples need work. They look like mountain ranges poke up through the water, i.e. the edges are to sharp. maybe a blur tool or smudge to take away the hard lines. Just my opinion.

I have avoided Bryce since version 3 after I discovered Vue, so I don't have much advice technically about the ripples. I will say this; you are very talented, devoted, and have a vision and that will prevail in time over the learning curve. Kudos to you for switching platforms; you are doing a fantastic job and I suggest reading as many tuts as you can on the net. You really have more down than you realize, water is not easy when you have to mess with physics. I give this piece an outstanding rating with all you have done thus far! Excellent work!

Brilliant scene with this cave Troll! The ripples are slightly to geometric but with some pstwork you could flaten and soften them BUT the water effect at the exit of your cave looks glorious! Bravo!!! A V for the blue color setting and the fabulous atmosphere!!!

Dear Rich, I had to do a double take - I looked and went - "What happened to my comment??" Then I realized I was on the next image!! It's not nice to fool blonds!! (Easy, but not nice!!!) I usually cheat and do ripples and things in post, but one thing I have used in regard to water in Bryce is this: I had a picture of the swimming pool surface withh all the bright caustics. I made a terrain in Bryce and then edited it and loaded the swimming pool caustics in theedit objects as the elevation map. I cranked the Y axis almost flat, applied a water texture. It looked pretty good. Might give it a try - just keep the Y way down so it doesn;t look jaggy. The water and light going out of the cave are great!! Great rock, too!! Excellent Work!! Love, Meredith

The water in this image is much better then the first. By now, you should be an old pro at this... or just old. :)
