Description


The highest point on Mauna Kea is 13,796 ft above sea level. There are still small patches of snow but they will all melt very soon. The air is very thin up here and we do feel a little light headed. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

Hmm, can imagine the light-headed feeling! A slow pace doing things up there is no luxury, until you're up there long enough (but that might take more than several days)!

Most people don't think of Hawaii and altitudes like this. I have to thank you for educating the masses. As said, a great sense of scale with the lone figure, had to search him out. Wonderful stark image of the volcanic peak with the clouds far below.
