Description

Thanks for viewing !! :o) -- By request... im not really comfortable with these 1:1 crops. But Darren (Statt2344) asked me to post a frontal close-up with eyes and mandibles in view and i thought id upload this one, its not really what you requested but the its closest i have, i will try to get the shot you want next time im dragonhunting :o) The crop is from the original shot from which i posted the "Picking Flowers" image btw. Oh ehm... about that bottom shot... sorry about that LOL i just thought details are details, right ? ;o) This dragon met with my car at 70 miles/hour. After i stopped i checked the impact site and found the poor dragon there, he seemed to have misplaced his head ;o) I thought the insides looked very interesting, what you see here are his flight-muscles, they really look powerful dont they ? Hope you like & have a wonderful sunday !! :o) - Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my last upload, "Hairy Dragonfly" !! -- Many thanks, Jeroen

The bottom one looks like frog's meat. If it has the same taste, it must be delicious. The first one is the kind of macros I love!

yup, I'm glad you posted these 1:1's, even if you are not sure, I think they are great. I looked at the bottom one for ages, very interesting. You can see such great detail and the luminous colour of the body is really something special, nature is great :)

Ew! The end of the dragon fly! Imagine 10 grams 30 km/h and 1,000 kgs 70 km/h, a collision with 100 km/h difference and with a difference in weight of 100,000:1! That's like being hit with 6,000 metric tons vehicle with 100 km/h! Very impressive work, Jeroen!

Poor dragonfly! I've exterminated a few bugs w/my car in my time. I drive one hour to work so that's two hours on the road daily....x's number of bugs..= slaughter to nothing. I always feel bad though about it. At least you were able to "educate" w/his death. Excellent macro my friend as always...even under THOSE circumstances. VOTE

Wow! The first one really make ya wonder how they SEE with those huge eyes. I guess they need them to fly and zip around like they do! It would seem they DIDN'T quite help the bottom one...WHOA!
