A fascinating concept! Yes, I think the mechanically rotating cylinders with scribed numbers fits the motif a tad better than the display in your earlier 2D work (intriguing though it was). I eagerly await your next hardware interpretations, especially the phaser and tricorder (should you decide to tackle them). A "steam-punk" starship, will, of course, be the ultimate "head turner"!
