Description

Scotland, Ben Nevis - This is a shot near the summit and the only view I had for 3 hours! Lost In CLOUDS, wet and cold and the path very steep. Stones and clouds, stones and clouds and the same again with no end! And I still hoped for a better view. After every corner and curve (there were 1000)I hoped to be on the summit, but it always was a disappointment to notice that I didn't reach it. I almost cried and wanted to give up! What do I do here? What will I get at the end? NOTHING??? I needed all my strength to get on the summit. And I didn't give up because I had a hard way behind me and I am a person who leads a thing to the end what I once began. Many thanks for your interest and left comments. Have a better day! ;o))))

It is very frustrating with mountains where you think you are about to reach the top again and again and again - and of course, dense fog doesn't make it any better. Excellent work!

This must be the type of landscape for which the phrase, "Bones of the Earth" was coined. I can feel the anguish emanating from your words...I hope that this story has a happy ending lovely Rita. BTW, thanks for the wonderful IM! :) And yes, you should try this image in black and white.

I am just out of breath looking at it. I have to admit this is one of the best mists shots I have seen. I hope you did not give up. I look forward to the rewards. Well done!

I can see how discouraging and disappointing this would be but it would be more so to give up. There's a sense of mystery with that mist and I love the texture of the rocks
