playing with the sigma 70-300mm lens, trying to do a night shot... if I could get past the camera shake this might of looked better. Anyhow hope you like it.

Here are a few suggestions. Try to shoot on a windless night. Allow the timer to activate the shutter instead of your finger. Use a tripod and anchor it down. The best solution is to mount your camera on a telescope motor drive and follow the moon for a long exposure using slow film.

no film, its a rebel XT EOS camera, wasn't windy, just had camera shake from me trying to hold the thing. I tried using the tripod as a ancor and the timer but didn't get much better results. Might need to get a sturdier tripod. Any suggestions ib a brand? Thanks for the tips :D I love tips :)

Why am I getting this irresistible urge to start howling? Simple though this might seem, I can appreciate how difficult it would be to get a really great shot. Thanks for sharing! :o)

cool effort caleb......... as geo said your best bet for this would be a motor driven telescope mount (they are called an equitorial mount and come in either electric or clockwork.....) if you lived closer i'd lend you the one off my telescope :)

Great shot, I had the same problem, even with a tripod when the shutter went it was enough to blur the shot. I think a sturdier tripod is the only ,answer, if you can justify buying it, or a telescope mount as mentioned. All the best, David :)

was looking at a telescope mount down at the next city, looks pretty sturdy, they had a display mount out, defently not something i'd want to carry around with me everywhere though, weighs 15lbs. Thanks for the suggestions :) greatly appreciated :)
