Description

'Watching My Back, self~portrait' Duo-tone ~ June 14, 2005 Comments I am not known for taking many self-portraits, even though the most recent one was just 1362 exposures ago on May 22 of this year, the last one was really back in 1983. So I was a bit of a surprised when I shot this totally unplanned one while photographing a furniture store for a series of photographs on Urban Environments to be featured at photo-genesis.net in the next couple of months. The room was full of bedroom dressers, of which a number had mirrors and I wanted to capture the many various angles and multiple reflections, when once again I was side-tracked into taking my portrait as with the previous portrait 'Self Portrait with Shattered Mirror'. The gallery camera2 has been launched with its first nine colour abstract photographs. Technical Information: CAMERA: Sony DSC-V1, Aperature priority setting to f-8, ISO100, EV -.07, Tripod LIGHT: Available light PHOTOSHOP NOTES: Adjustment in Auto Contrast, Auto Levels, and further minor adjustmets in Levels and Curves. Desaturation of red and yellow in Hue/Saturation and final conversion to B&W in Channel Mixer/RGB mode. Duo-tone settings have curve alterations and the secondary colour is R151/G132/B115. There was no retouching on this photograph. Thank you for your visit Vielen dank f

I like this one even better than the last. It has this sense of infinity in the reflections. Also there is so much to see, its almost like a parallel universe. Good work.

Very interesting composition and an excellent capture of yourself! :-) I really like all the different tones that come through from the furniture and it's a beautiful presentation as well. :-)
