Dear Visitor,I've joint Renderosity in Sept. 2002, while being active for several year I have made a lot of wonderful friends here and I'm still in contact with a few of them. Was elected for AOM in July 2004. Well, since I am Site Administrator on Photo-Genesis my time is just too limited for being active on RR. I just drop in once in a while to say hello to my friends which I miss! If you want to know more about me... the interview I've done for R'osity in July 2004 is to be seen here Feel free to also visit my personal website  Monika Wolf Photography

I was looking yesterday for a post from you. to tell the truth I prefer the original capture of fotos without too much departure from reality, but sepia does have it's place. this instance it adds an antique fot quality. your original would be a nice background for Poser

Forgive me if I do not look at the colour version. Though I am a fan of colour, you provided us with your personal interpretation in this duo-toned version. By looking at the other one, I feel as though I am betraying you. Strange as it sounds, but that is just how I feel, especially after looking at it several days later. I love trees. They have an important and significant meaning to me and in some way I feel a spiritual connection here. Der Geist von diesen Baum, covered in ivy reminds me of the Norse Mythology and stories of the unexplained. The way the tree stands surrounded, almost guarded by others, sheltering it from outsiders, it is a symbol around which the Druids gather. Thank you dear Monika for posting such a beautiful and deeply thought provoking image. ___ I tried uploading the following comment in the forum, but it just did not want to except my words: Well, what can I say. Curiosity got the better of me. For what it is worth, the colour version is perfect and nice, but it is just another colour photograph. Sorry. The duo-toned version is more deeper emotionally. It made me stop and think. As I always say, colour is emotional and B&W is intellectual. Ah, a contradiction here maybe? No! Colour is a momentary emotion, B&W makes us think and in the duo-toned version I feel a deep connection, an emotion to the past memories of childhood. Stories of heroes and gods. ;~)
