Beautiful shot ! Typical ! You people in U.K.have a special tenderness for lonely trees. I like that .

yeah, well - the image is beautiful, all right! [but you should've make the shot with the tree more in the right side of the scene; the way you put it - almost in the middle - makes the eyes of the viewer to be drown exactly towards to the tree forgetting to look for the rest of the scene. By the way - you don't have to be happy about what I tell you, but think about it!] respectfully, mihai.

Grest shot, the tree looks like it's had it's beatings, it's def got character!

I like this pictureI love trees, they all tell a story. Yet first, unless I am mistaken, it appears to me the way the picture was taken and cleverly so might I add. That there are actually, two trees, giving the appearance of one. One much older tree directly in front of a younger yet full grown tree, and from this prospective the story the older tree tells is one of; "I am an very old tree, yet my roots are grounded good, embedded strong in this earth and I am still standing." Thank you for sharing, I have enjoyed the view.

Like the tree just where it is - do you think they hung witches from it? Like the story Wolfspirit sees in this, the image makes you think, so therefore it works well.
