The aircraft was first flown in 1975, and after a considerable amount of testing was put into larger scale production at Arsenyiev in the Russian Far East and deliveries began in early 1975. Thx for the interesting info - my first thought was old fighter planes - but as I understand you these are purpose built aerobatics planes. Excellent shot!
