Description

I grew up near Pasadena, California, which hosts the Tournament of Roses Parade each year on January 1. This shot reminds me of the Rose Parade Queen and her Court of Princesses. I took several tries to get this right because it kept coming out blurry. I guess I had a hard time staying still without anything nearby to balance against. I would appreciate any advice on staying still while crouching for a shot :) Thanks for the comments!

This is excellent! All I could suggest is a miniture tripod. I got one to use and just placing it on a stool and aiming at the object when zooming is very helpful for me. My husband still does better than I when taking zoomed pictures. This deserves Excellent Rating, thankyou, Diane

Get on one knee and put one elbo on your "standing" leg, support the cam with both hands... the most important part is still not to have shaky hands though... :o) Beautiful work here, really gorgeous roses !!! Superb !! :o) A minature tripod might work too ofcourse but they are a liability... ;o)
