Description
Trying to make this look like the opening scene of a movie, in widescreen; a Luc Besson flick, perhaps?
Two canoeists on Derwentwater shot from Walla Crag.
I used Paint Shop Pro rather than Photoshop Elements for this, am amazed how much smaller the file sizes are! Hope the quality doesn't suffer?
EOS 20D 100-400L @ 135mm, 1/800s F5, ISO 200.

This is great, a real minimalist shot. Ideally the canoes would have been a little further to the right, and I think the wide black bands really present it well, I can just imagine this as the opening shot from a movie. Bravo!!

Superb shot, I think you have succeeded here, I can just imagine the shot starting on the canoeists and panning out to this huge scene. Excellent :)

Excellent! Do you think they ever think of sharks or Killer whales when they are out there doing that? Excellent shot and I think psp is none the less than photoshop...

Yes!I can so see this as the opening of a film.It has that wide angle look that then slowly moves toward the figures. And you start to hear the oars hit the water and the grunting of their efforts...Works for me! :)
