A toad, probably overcome by the heat... it has been awfully hot
here lately and the animals suffer from it... even more than we
humans do apperently. It looks like it died right there, instantly,
while desperately seeking a new puddle of water... Ive have been
to this place a lot and there has always been puddles of water
there, i even shot a few frog pics there (whilst they were still
alive). It breaks my heart to see how this poor animal had to
come to its end. But, thats life i guess.... :o)

Yikes! Those animals always adapt to the environmental temperatures and with this heat it's going terribly wrong when there's no water in the neighborhoud! Poor toad, what a terrible way to end your life!

Wow ... that is heart breaking ... it hurts to see this. If I lived over there, I'd get an ice cream bucket and fill with water and set them out for these guys. What a picture THAT would be, eh ????? S

OMG! I can see it stop in mid-stride, a terrible squeeky sizzling noise, then PAF! A small wisp of smoke! Eeeww! Nice shot, poor little toady!

That poor toad, he does look a little bloated and fried from the heat. It's weird how he seems to have been walking when he just suddenly 'croaked'. ;) A very good, but sad capture.

Man you're breaking my heart! I have a hard time watching nat'l geo for that reason. I can't not watch because of the beautiful animals then I have to cover my eyes during stuff like this. Ohhhhh! Excellent shot though my friend. It is life I know but hard to swallow sometimes.

Ciao Jeroen. I agree with Pimbotin... we live in a crazy world ! and some person call that "civilisation"... Animals are civilisated, not us. We are destroying our world for the God Dollars, and put the responsability on the others. But we are all responsable !!! I would like to be born 100 years ago, in another world, in another place...
