Description

Second in the series of shots I took on my trip to Nashville Tennessee Via Rural Route 70. Of course you may recognize the old car...I couldn't resist. The Drive In may end up being just a memory. I don't know of any others, and this one is about an hours drive from my house. I would love to go and take my kids (though they are grown and probably wouldn't go anyway) just for the experience. They have never been to one. Imagine that! My brother says that this one played the same movie every night for four months. 'Closed for Winter' I hope you find a Drive in Movie theater to visit if you never have. What a kick. Of course I remember alot of necking and not too much watching! *dirty little chuckle...*

a Studie or Lark I believe. I wish that I had time explore Nashville more, but it always seems if I am in a hurry to get where I am going and miss more stuff. excellent shot Randee

Now who could resist a nice car like that sitting up on a pole? We used to sneak people in in the trunk of the car, maybe 40 years ago when drive ines were still around and we were young, foolish, and always broke. Great bit of history here, and I still haven't forgotten you!

Randee, Looks like a studebaker to me too! Yes, I remember drive-in movies from childhood. Ours had Wednesday $1.00 a carload nights in the summer. One time all the neighbor kids went in a station wagon. We crammed 23 people in that station wagon! What a blast from the past! Thanks for the memory! Leanndra

Thank goodness- you found my car! I was on my way to the concession stand to get more mosquito coils and to complain about the rattling speaker- but my shirt got caught on the mirror of that cadillac that was leaving...LOL.
