Description

More from on Lake Tahoe. As with the last picture, this one was taken from the lake (actually before the other one) and includes Mt. Tallack (to the left). The peak on the right is Rubicon Peak and reaches an elevation of 9,183 feet - almost 3000 feet above the lake itself. The only thing I can equate the view from the top of this mountain with would be nothing short of a religious experience - simply breath-taking. The long, narrow point to the right of center is Sugar Pine Point and is the location of the highest lighthouse in the world - by elevation. In this shot, I thought about cropping out the tip of the bow of the boat, but I think it adds a bit of perspective (maybe I'll post a pic of the boat one of these days). Thanks for the wonderful comments on the previous shot.

Freedom!!! That's what I think everytime we get on the Lake. ;) Usually we catch a ride on the M.S. Dixie or the Tahoe Queen. Doesn't matter, as long as I'm there. Excellent view.
