Taken at a nearby local Ranch last week ...tryed to shoot it as good as I could -was hard cause he kept moving and was a bit hyper that day...there was a new female nearby that got his full attention he didnt want to be bothered by a photo shoot... LOL! There are so few really pure Golden Pheasants found in captivity, Golden Pheasants can are considered as challenging and exciting to pheasant breeders. The courtship display of the Golden Pheasant male is a colorful sight as it flattens and spreads its gorgeous plumage. . ...The Male Golden Pheasants (40 to 44 inches long with a 32 inch tail) are truly striking birds!!. What a fantastic colorful shot. Love the presentation too. I know this kind of pheasants, we have some wild living specimen here in our fields, but they are very shy. It's hard to capture them with the camera.
