Description

On base-rich lakes this dragonfly is very common in mid-europe. The females are yellow, the adult males' body is coated with a thin blue wax-layer (which dissolves with the years; very old males almost look like females then). This is my last upload for about 3 weeks - I'm on vacation tour with my girlfriend. :o) Have a nice time and thank you for all your nice comments and hints, I'll be back. ;o) Regards, Karsten

I've become very familiar with dragonflys lately; never gave them a second look until I got my new camera. Now I find them beautiful .. this one no exception. This is an incredible macro!!!!!!!
