Description

This image was created to get used to my new Intuos 3 ... and I'm so happy! Yes, still, I have to learn how to handle with ... not realistic enough ... looks like a spoiled oilpainting:) but Intuos is just so good ... perfect tool for everything Art and Creation! I'm just so happy to have it ... and I understand the slogan "Effieciency can be breathtaking". It's really breathtaking, and it's so ... great! Hope you can understand my joy ... and can see it:) If you're interested in Portrait Art and Digital Art in Photoshop in General, I've posted a Making-Of illustrating the steps how to create this image:

Excellent image ... you should be really pleased. I'm still using a Graphire, so I'm a bit envious. Wonderful composition and dramatic light.

Very good the contrast between the shadows and lightings, and better still the details on the shadows. Congrats!

Having further look through your gallery, and discovering you do these from scratch, I am so blown away. I originally thought you started with a rendering. In that light, I'd say this is the most impressive gallery out here. It almost makes me want to hang up my paintbrush and take up woodshop - - (almost) Excellent

Although the virtual contrast might be a bit lower than you wanted, it's still a stunning portrait. Interestingly enough, I end up viewing this particular image of yours because I, too, just upgraded my legacy Intuos 4"x5" tablet to a new, Intuos3 6"x11" wide aspect tablet. I never used my old tablet as much as I should have, and I'm kicking myself for it now. I'm getting into just what you are teaching with your tutorials, and they should proe invaluable to me in getting "up to speed." Thanks for your kind sharing, and congrats on an impressive portfolio of ePaintings.
