Description

Well it took a while to model, skin and render, but its finally done. This is the Type 1 Megastar class Dreadnought. While it lacks the sleek and graceful lines of it's more modern descendants; the Megastar's sheer brute force and rugged reliability keep it in service. This craft was designed and constructed as a main battle ship of the line. She was designed well before the invention or evern conception of resonance drives or weapons, and her design reflects that. The model was done in Carrara 4, Skins and background starfield done in Photoshop cs and Paint Shop Pro 9. FInal render in C4, Some postwork to resize etc in PSP9. I hope you like it.

Very nice ship! Reminds me of a cross of your other work and Battlestar Galactic. I would love to sometime see a pic of this with a few of your other designs to get a better idea of size differences.

The Sparrowhawk class Cruiser is just over 3.5 miles in length, the fighters are just about the size of a B1 Bomber. Its hard to get them in a render with some detail and keep the size perspective correct, but I think this one came out ok.
