Description
I decided to do this one as a change of pace from all the warships. The DL-200 Class Star Freighter is the liberty ship of the Imperial Dominion. The class was designed to be very inexpensive to construct or replace, carry a small crew, and an enormous amount of cargo. They can also carry up to 10,000 passengers in the cramped passenger section. The ship lacks most of the frills of the Dominions other classes. It has only basic artificial gravity, almost no armament at all, and no flow shield for defense. These were designed to be used in bulk and to be replaced not repaird when severely damaged. Fortunately the class is no longer in wide scale use. Starfield and jupiter skin done in PSP 9, Model done in C4, skinning and final rendering in C4, no postwork except resizing in PSP9. Let me know if you like it. And yes those are modular cargo containers.

Richard , i can always tell that alot of time goes into your modeling, as in this design you can really tell that the ship has girth in size and does have that apperance of being a freighter or passenger vessle, this would be enormous in the real world!

Yup, it is. And almost completely defenseless, Thats why the Sparrow class was designed originally, to replace this class. Yeh the sparrow was originally supposed to be a cargo/passenger ship, but one that could defend itself. They ended up as corvettes escorting the DL series freighters.
