Description

My art is my only coping mechanism left and it seems to be getting me into more trouble. I am forcing myself to take a different direction in hopes those that control my coming and going will ease up on my ass. I had to come up with Happy Memories of an earlier time during a recent brain gouging. I remember going to the ocean with my mom and my sister. I don't to the shore much now, the waves sometimes look too inviting to go for a long walk... Digimon, if you see this piece, I hope it is also a more positive image than the normal crap in my gallery. It's funny, if my shit were hanging up on my wall instead of hanging virtually here, I would have taken a knife blade and shredded the f#ck out of them! I can always cleanse by delete-key... -yO

I like this image. I recently found out that my aunt I with was put in a mental intitute. Been thinking alot about those kinds of memories...fond things that don't feel like me anymore. ~lost

a very artistic finish. ebb and flow, ebb and flow, such is life, tide in, tide out, a happy time will come, and the sad you'll do without.

it reminds me of serenity in death.

This has such an intangible feeling to it, something distant, a fleeting glimpse that's almost gone as soon as it's grasped making it all the more poignant. The simple understated style is very evocative Yo.

Where else can we go when we need to breath...A highly symbolic peice of the refuge in our minds.

I can say no more than echo what Bev and all the others said above. Something very poignant about this...

This is so beautiful! I am so sorry it has taken me this long to see it. My wife is in love with it, she is rattling off too many verbs for me to document, but suffice it to say, she is very enchanted by it, as am I. You have endured suffering that no child, or adult, should ever endure. It is only logical that it would influence your art. It would be ridiculous to expect a person with your history (Still relatively fresh) to put a side your pain and anger, and create "Happy" art..still, we wish better for you, and that some day, this kind of work comes naturally to you. You are incredibly talented, your art will find it's voice.
