Description

its a slightly more complete version of the t34/85 i posted in the forum, i dont think theres any more major modeling i need to do. as for textures i think i`ll be giving it a winter colour scheme (ie whitewashed green). -the wierd grid thingys are bedsprings mounted to the hull to detonate panzerfausts before they came into direct contact with the armour and were fitted as a temporary solution in urban tank warfare. comments welcome...

Excellent work again. I'm sure I've seen/got a photo of the multi-turreted WW2 Russian tank. I'll see if I can find it. Might have been in a modelling magazine.

Great model. One thing that struck me when I saw a T-34/85 on display is how rough the surface is. It is not a neat clean pice of metal but a rough cast piece. Great model want to see it textured.

cheers all, dann-o i know about the sufrace casting detail (it`ll be added as a bumpmap later), i recently went down to bovington tank museum (in the uk) and literaly climbed all over one of these monsters, so i have photos and sketches of just about every surface for reference.

how, or what should i say is your source for reference images? the modeling is to good..... :) for tanks, you are by far the best modeler i have seen. Question, are you this creative or good at modeling organic objects, humans and characters? outstanding model, you have a real talent. all of your tank models are as good if not better than that scene in the hulk movie where he smashed and threw the tanks. super job.

In my earlier days I used to build model (Airfix) tanks. Good as they were, they were not as detailed as these !!

PITBULL- alas no, i suck at organic stuff, heck i have trouble just modelling a curved turret. for reference i use anything i can get my hands on, www.tanxheaven.com is a good source of tank pics.

At least, some Russian tank... This one is especially famous... Congrats for the level of detail [although unfinished]. Pitbull is right, you are excellent at tanks.

VERY WELL DONE! You definitely did your research. I must say your attention to detail (modeling) is incredible! I am jealous! I would love to see the completed image. Excellent work!
