I am a developing artist working on improving my abilities to create beautiful digital landscape compositions. Without the help and suggestions of the many fellow artists in this community, it would be a long time before I reach the next level.
BIO
I am a retired procurement professional who has long had an interest in photography and painting; and, lately in computers and photorealistic natural landscapes. I hope to become more proficient and perfect my abilities to produce acceptable work. My experience in art started at a very early age when I would spend many hours sketching and painting. I had instruction at The Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois. I did some freelance work for Flying Models, Model Airplane News and Top Flite Models creating plans and illustrative construction sequences for magazines and kit models. I had spent more than 20 years designing, building and flying radio controlled model airplanes...a very rewarding hobby for me. During the 1970s, I spent 11 years in the hobby of "bonsai"; the Japanese art of miniature trees. In my first 7 tree entry in a contest, all 7 trees were awarded ribbons in various categories. Japanese landscaping became a passion for me where I completed a 3 year project creating a Japanese landscape around my home in Oak Forest, Illinois. I also did this work for several other people in our community. In 1987 I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I currently make my home. The love of the American southwest and all its beauty is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. Now that we have computers, digital cameras; and, Terragen; I'll have enough to do for a long, long time.

Magnifique!!! Love that place!

Interesting foam and how it was done.. Nice water surface.
stbc
Tremendous teamwork. Another marvel. Agree that the surf is tops. Love the water, overlay, mountains and cool sky. My only comment is that the overlay beach, which looks cool, looks a bit 2-D, maybe would have worked even better under a thin layer of water. EXC+

Wonderfrul and excellent work,Bravo Bob!

Each time I think I've just about seen the best that Terragen can do, you and Buzz raise the bar. I don't have a word that applies to the level of excellence here. Bravo.

Beautiful team work! I like especially the background. The stones in front are looking IMHO a bit strange. Anyway - this is still an excellent pic!! :-)
Buzzzzz
Thanks Bob it was fun! Your work is excellent! So sorry I screwed up the foreground. :o( I think i did make pretty good adjustments on the background sufaces though. I don't know? Why don't you re-render using your first file for this work. Perhaps someone could show me how to do overlays better. I think I will jump over to Vue. Besides that's where Planetside is heading anyway. Again, Thanks for the opportunity. Like I said before, cut the bottom off and make a Pano. :o)

This is an excellent image!!! Wonderful detail all round. Really like the detail you got out of the overlay, just wished terragen could give them more of a 3D look though.
