Dramatic scene. I find the seemingly disorganized orientation of the figures rather confusing. For example if they had a consistent orientation than then one could make sense out of how they are spaced and grouped.

I am assuming they are viewing the battle below them, judging those fighting valiantly enough to go to Valhalla. War is chaotic, so therefore I the Valkyries arrangement in keeping with what we are not seeing but believe to be taking place. In any case, I find this a very captivating and beautifully done piece. :)
