ABOUT ME:
The caption for my avatar (and a condensed story of my life)Â would read: "OMG! WTF? I've stepped in it now."
I got Bryce 5.5 (for $24.95) at the end of June 2008. It was my introduction to 3D graphics. I had no idea any such program existed prior to accidently discovering Bryce 5.5 -- and, at 60+ years old, I'm trying to make up for all the lost time. I just got Bryce 6.1 in February 2009.
I'm not a particularly "talented" artist, but I do enjoy the creative process. And, every so often, I surprise myself and produce something that isn't really all that awful.
I truly believe the old adage, "it isn't the end, it is the process (or journey) that matters."
I live my life keeping two thoughts uppermost in my mind. First thought: "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel" (because -- I believe -- pretended patriotism which so many, in all ages and countries, have made a cloak of self-interest, leads to nationalism which leads to a superior-minded isolation and, along with religion, is the main cause of one human picking up arms against another). Second thought: "Time wounds all heels" (because I have to believe that eventually the "scoundrel" and "pretend patriot" will get their come-uppance).
Any feedback is welcomed. Although what is considered "artistic" is an individual and personal opinion, hopefully feedback will lead me to a more knowledgeable use of the tools Bryce has to offer. There is much, at this early stage of my use of Bryce, which leaves me confused and aghast at my lack of understanding as to just what it all means. If I don't understand what any particular tool means, I am incapable of using it properly. I'm looking to you, the Bryce community, to assist and teach. Thanx, in advance, for any help, advice, lessons, or constructive criticism.Â
