With a career background, based in fine art galleries, for the first six years after finishing my education, I have been exposed to most creative mediums of expression, but have been interested in photography for most of my life, and received my first camera as a gift when I was about six years old (which I think my mum still has:), and havent looked back since. IMHO freedom of expression is key to creative diversity, in most cases. I think Ive experimented with mostly all avenues associated with "art," some I think I had mediocre success with, and others I failed at miserabley (3D Studio Max and I do NOT get along...lol) Unfortunately I think most people find my form of photo presentation a little controversial. Not so much the subject material, but the way I actually present the finished product. So Ive had to learn to be slightly more versatile when it come's to customer, and audience. Fortunately (for me that is :) I still have the opportunity occasionally, to go ahead & do things as I would like to see them portrayed. (If that makes any sense at all...) Tools of the trade Mac as well as PC. Photoshop CS3, Lightroom, Aperture, Raw Shooter & sometimes Paint Shop Pro 7. Various plugins, actions & brushes, like Alien Skin, Flaming Pear, Red Paw Media etc... (Im a postwork junkie you understand...lol) A4 Wacom Stylus and Tablet HISTORY I relocated to Durban, KZN, South Africa, from Cape Town a few years back, where I owned a small studio doing mainly portfolio's and zed cards for both beginner, intermediate and professional models.

Since my last login (a long time ago), my fledgling SME has now grown into a more financialy viable venture, and am now inundated with commercial work, from a lot of avenues, namely tabloids, mainstream fashion outlets, as well as portfolio oriented work. I now work in fully equipped studio, and digital darkroom... however I do still do location shoots if need be.
