I've been working as an IT consultant since 2005.
I started 3D graphics during my studies at my engineering school (in 2003 IIRC), when I took an optional class about 3D and image synthesis. Did some POV-Ray and OpenGL programming at the time, and found out about Poser and DAZ while doing research for my class project (I needed a human figure for a scene). Since I didn't have the money to buy Poser at the time, I just put it in the "might be interesting later" list then. I went back to DAZ something like 1 year later and discovered the DS beta, which of course I had to try. The rest, as they say, is history...
