Hello All!
Thanks for stopping by. My name is Jason S. Wrench and I’ve been playing around with 3D art for about 5 years off and on. I started with iClone and was primarily focused on using iClone to create short videos for various projects. I’m an educator and often use these tools to enhance my classroom.
Last summer (2013), I became more interested in 3D art and ventured back to DAZ studio to take another look at the product when iClone could import DAZ Genesis products. Well, I finally started seeing the real benefits and joys of DAZ3D and became an avid fan of using the software. Sadly, I’m a college professor, so my time is highly limited because I’m an author and my 17th book comes out this fall. As you can imagine, I’m always sitting in front of a computer doing something, just not always making art.
I have definitely found this world frustrating at times because of the lack of really good resources for beginners. Even if you buy a book on DAZ3D, which there are a couple, most of the information is so basic that it really doesn’t teach you what you need to know to use the software. Thankfully, I’ve found out over time that there are a number of useful training programs on the net, so I’ve started slowly working my way through a few of them. I enjoy doing this, just wish I had more time.
Jason
