I bought Poser when it was hardly more than stick figures, it was just Poser, not 2,3,4 etc. I am a Physical Therapist and I thought I could use Poser to illustrate exercises. However it was too slow and cumbersome (besides looking dorky) for that so I didn't use it for a few years. Later while I was writing a book (Fibromyalgia Keys to Recovery) I started using Poser 4 to do some of the illustrations.
You know the rest of the story, addiction sets in and you start buying a lot of cool stuff that you really don't need but you can't resist. This has been a great escape for me from my work addiction. My alter ego is Indiana Jones as you might guess from my bio photo, (no, that is not Harrison Ford in the picture.)
I am a fairly good phtographer but a crappy artist so I am thrilled that Poser gives me a way to create scenes and adventures that only exist in my imagination. When I take photos in my travels I like to imagine characters and scenes in the photos, so when Iam alone in the mountains or on the beach I always have a host of imaginary characters with me that are willing to pose for my camera.
The graphics community has been amazingly helpful and friendly for me as I keep learning about graphic art. Thanks for your help and friendship.
