Here I am (at left) 'inpainting', along with my colleagues Marie and Fred. I have a position at Lowy as a senior paintings conservator. Founded in 1907 by Julius Lowy, the Fine Art Conservation Department of Lowy has a long history of preserving historic and artistic works of art. The painting and paper conservation studios treat works of art from all periods specializing in American and European paintings of the eighteenth through twentieth centuries as well as contemporary works. Artists regularly treated include French Impressionists such as Renoir, Monet and Degas: American painters and illustrators Sargent, Chase, Inness, Remington, Rockwell and Parrish; Nineteenth Century American landscape painters including Church, Cole and Bierstadt; and Twentieth Century Masters such as O'Keefe, De Kooning and Rothko.
