BIOFollowing graduation, I did a years Artists Residency that was a consequence of placements undertaken in community and educational settings. There were two further residencies in Switzerland and Ireland. Full time employment over the following 5 years as a social worker made using my rented studio virtually ineffective. From that point onwards I have always worked from home in a converted studio.
Gaining an M.A. (Barcelona) + teaching qualification, enabled me to freelance part time as a further, higher and gallery educator. Whilst on my MA in Spain I was in a printmaking environment and I chose to train in this to Post Graduate level (Wimbledon Sch.of Art). 1999. There were three further artists residencies at Lowick and at Gainsborough print workshops, and most recently on a digitally based project in a local secondary school.
A period was spent working at the Print Study Centre in Tate Britain and at London Print Studio.
Over this period I have also worked for an arts publishing company, and have written reviews /articles for art journals.
