I am a fitter and an aircraft engineer. Since my exit from my civil profession, I work in my own studio in Rheinhausen-Trompet (Duisburg) as a metal using artist.
I manufacture by my own ideas design furniture, accessories, sculptures, collages, light objects all from metal and jewellery from stainless steel. Since seven years I almost exclusively work with stanless steel.
The emphasis of my production were candlesticks, clocks, cd racks and accessories for office, bath and kitchen.
Sometimes I produced this things in a small range, but mostly as single parts.
From my contrary view of the usually rules of the society and out of this resulting behaviour, I get the ideas for the styling of my objects and you see the unconventional and peculiar creations as a reflection of my approach to life. This you see especially in my muddled knot creations from sectional steel, which in spite of its seeming chaos improve by its continuity and point out the influence by his study of science: Steel as a 3 dimensional curve of a higher degree.
Since February 1989 I presents my works on fairies for arts and crafts, e. g. at the Kunstmarkt Freiburg / Breisgau, the Gauklerfest in Berlin or the Museumsuferfest in Frankfurt / Main, and also in shopping centers like Der Clou in Berlin, Hamburger Straße, in Hamburg or the Nord-West-Center in Frankfurt / Main.
Since 1993 every year I have a booth at Christmas market in Bonn and from April to October every second sunday you'll find me at Marinamarkt in Duisburg
